I have a application with a lot of PN devices (between 100-150 devices).

I want to show the status of these devices on a HMI screen. A simple screen with 200 “blocks” which can have the color (Red= Device fault, Green = Device OK, Grey = Device not configured in hardware Config, or disabled)

I’m checkinghow to implement this in my plc program. I found the options to get the PN status of the device via SFC51, this is a simple solution because the output is one DB with all the PN devices with the status Device Fault TRUE/FALSE

The problem is that I have a third status, (Not configured of disabled), is there a way that to do this also possible via this SFC51 function? Or does somebody know a different Option?

Always define the statement of your problem in detailed way. Important to know, are you going to use new HMI as comfort series or you want to integrate with old series HMI?

For existing  HMI/WinCC flexible, the link which Christoph has given is exactly true. But if you are going to show with new series HMI under TIA portal then you need to migrate wincc flex project to TIA with available link.

You need to use FB126 at PLC side in program.

which PLC and HMI do you use? Which Engineering software do you use?

If you have a S71200 or 1500 PLC and a Comfort Panels, Addvanced RT or Professional RT or WInCC V7.4 you could use the Dyagnostic vies to get a comfortable view on your PN IO System.

 This is for HMI part in tia portal.  Sorry, Which is corresponding PLC part ? FB126 in the case of SIMATIC MANAGER and if PLC with TIA ?

This FB126 is useful to show the diagnostic status of PN/PB devices  on SIMATIC HMI which is connected to classic PLC .

In last post i have attached the application under tia portal only.

But if every thing under tia portal and comfort series of HMI then only you need to enable the all diagnostic at S7300/400 side in CPU configuration and click on tansfer to HMI. At HMI side just take Diganostic control in one of the scree. Then in runtime you can see the status of all PN devices per module wise .you can see all diagnostic information of CPU.

The same diagnostic information is part of S71500 plc firmware so no nee to enable anything.

Note: PLC and HMI connection should be integrated connection.

One more nice tool to show the all PN device diagnosis and IO testing capability is thru Proneta. 

Its very powerfull , which can be called in Runtime advanced or Professional or Classic WinCC.

 thank you for sharing the details. May i know from where you got this library? I was searching for this for quite long time, but not succeeded.

1.The program attached by you is for PLC and HMI in TIA platform, right ?

2. Do you have PLC,HMI project together ?

3. I have added s7-300 in the same pjct and activated diagnostics as shown in attachment. But how DB126 is getting generated ? 

If possible, kindly share the FAQ. If not available  step by procedure will be helpful..

Yes , its for TIA Portal platform only. For TIA portal platform there is no FAQ or library available on support site. One of the customer requirements demanded ,so  i did the migration of classic project to TIA platform. You can try to migrate classic project to tia portal. That classic project code with HMI is available on support. If you need some extra input then i can help you on monday.
