I would like to establish a TC/IP communication between a CPU315F 2 PN/DP and a .NET application.

I already did it between a S7-400 + CP443-1 and a .NET app by using AG_SEND and AG_RECV.

For using AG_SEND and AG_RECV, I need to configure a link in NetPro.

I cannot configure a link in NetPro on the PN Port. I have to use a CP 343-1. I would like to avoid adding a CP343-1.

Can I establish a TCP/IP communication between the PN Port of the CPU315F 2 PN/DP and my .NET application by using TSEND and TRECV ?

hi Mentoo,

yes you can establish a programmed connection over the internal interface. Therfore you don´t have to establish a connection in NetPro. The block TCON is establishing the connection during runtime.

thank you for replying to my topic.

I developed a S7 program which uses the TCON,TSEND,TRCV and TDISCON functions, in order to exchange data between a S7-315F PN/DP and a .NET app.

I tested this program in my test PLC. I succeed in establishing the connection between the PLC and my .NET app and in exchanging data.

I loaded the same program in my production PLC. I don't succeed in establishing the connection between the PLC and the .NET app. The error code returned by the TCON function is 80B3.

I don't understand why I get this error.

Both PLC (the test PLC and production PLC) are S7-315F PN/DP.

The production PLC (firmware 2.3) is older than the test PLC (firmware 2.5).

Do you have an idea why I get the 80B3 error ?

via group error looks like probably your needed port is already used. Check this. Look to description of your Status, it contain that Group error values which need to be checked also.

there is a difference if you use Firmware V2.3 oder V2.5 in S7-31x-2 PN/DP PLCs.

If you have firmware V2.3 or older you connection_type for TCP is B#16#01 and not B#16#11. But when connection_type B#16#01 is used you need to switch the byte order for the IP adress and the ports.

• -TCP according to RFC 793, connection type B#16#11, firmware V2.4.0 and higher

As I'm using a CPU with the V2.3 firmware, I inverted the order byte and it works perfectly now.

In the future, if the CPU is replaced by a V2.4 or higher, the communication will no longer work.

So I would like to initialize in the program the configuration DB depending on the firmware of the CPU. How can I get programmatically the firmware of the CPU ?

Hi,

as far as I know you can read the firmware version of the PLC with the SFC51 RDSYSST with SZL_ID = 16#0111 and Index = 16#7. It should return some bytes which also contains the firmware version.
