TIA WinCC Professional Faceplate Help please - Solution Found

Manie_Devco Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Could someone maybe post a sample of the following scenario faceplate for WinCC Professional. I can get it right on the TP1200, but not on the scada. Faceplate with: 1:) Three red/green indicators, linked to bit 00, 01, 02 of tag INPUT (16 bit INT) 2:) Three pushbuttons linked to toggle value of bit 00, 01 and 02 of tag OUTPUT (16 bit INT) 3:) One Input/Output IO field displaying the value of tag VALUE (16 bit INT), (modifyable by user and PLC) Tags INPUT, OUTPUT and VALUE is contained in a user defined tag called TEST, contained on a S7 315 CPU in DB1000. Evem if I do it in WinCC7 and import it it does not work? Thanks

The faceplate of Runtime advanced does not work in Runtime Professional. Here is an example of faceplates of WinCC Classic. Example blocks for STEP 7 and WinCC Then you migrate form WinCC V7 to WinCC V11 SP2 Tweety

Manie_Devco Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Thank you for the reply. I have downloaded the samples. Can not migrate because I do not have Step 7 V5.5 installed on the machine with the TIA on? Why in God's name would I need Step 7 V5.5 to migrate the project? What if I did not own Step 7 V5.5, and I just spent money on TIA Professional, and now the response from Siemens is....buy some more overpriced software that does not work, to import a sample into the new overpriced software that does not work? What happened to backwards compatability? TEST YOUR PRODUCT BEFORE YOU SELL IT SIEMENS.

Example blocks for STEP 7 and WinCC This is for WinCC V11 Professional: You must create the faceplate for WinCC Runtime Professional new. You can not use a faceplate of WinCC Runtime advanced (TP1200) or a Faceplate of WinCC Classic. You can findmore information of faceplatein thefollowing link. see the chapter 9.1.7. If you see my post above (pardon the RANT explosion): I want to use 3 pushbuttons in a faceplate. I also want to have a graphic list in the faceplate that I will use 3 times. The graphic list is a simple green/red indicator. The pushbuttons will toggle Bit 0, 1 and 2 of a INT tag in a plc. (Call it INPUT1) The 3 green/red indicators will react on Bit 0, 1 and 2 of a INT tag in a plc (Call it OUTPUT1) This is a simplified scenario of what I would like to achieve. I can not seem to be able to get it to do this. I have read the manual, searched the internet........ Loacal support in South Africa seems to think it is easy, but they can to date not produce a working sample of this. The WinCC 7 sample that you quoted does workin WinCC 7, so it was possible then,but does not seem to be achievable now? I would be exstatic to be proven wrong.....

Are you able to create a faceplate there? Post some more information if possible (screenshots of your faceplate in WinCC V11,...). Don`t worry we try to help you ;). best regards

Manie_Devco Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Sandman. Thank you for trying to help. I am using a fresh install of TIA Step 7 V11 SP2, TIA WinCC V11 SP2. The screenshots, project and all other pictures from me would not be relevant. Anybody can try the following, and if they succeed, there might be a problem with my software / me / SP2??? Try this: Put2 simplerectangles on a page. Animate the background colours with a UINT tag (called TEST) So if TEST value is 0 - both are RED, Test = 10, both are green. Now select both rectangles, right click and select "Create faceplate" Now try and make these two rectangles change colour by linking the relevant properties, and put an instance down on the same oage, link the same TEST tag to properties. See if it works
