HarrY ji Platinum Expert Joined: 2/21/2014 Last visit: 8/13/2024 Posts: 652 Rating: (350)	Hi All, I want to know if there is any tool that can export all the scripts from a PDL to a notepad/word etc. Reason for such a requirement: There are a lot ofobjects in a PDL, and each object may have a lot of scripts (e.g. scripts on change event, click event, etc). IF I refer one object (e.g. Obj1) in these scripts to make it visible/enable etc. I don't know in which object's script and in how many scripts that object is referred. I have to go to each and every object and its all scripts of the pdl and search this Object (e.g. Obj1) . So I want to export all the scripts in a PDL to may be one notepad and simply seach "Obj1" in it. In this way within seconds I can know where all my object is referred. If no tool, then anyone have any scripts for this export? Thanks, HarrY

Then checking every property and event of the object, if there a script is connected. If yes, read out the text of the script to a file. Regards Georg Berghof

Right-click on the picture in WinCC Explorer and select "properties" then in the dialog select "Dynamics" Use VBA to do a manual export(sample code in example project, forum and ODK) Use C(dynamic wizard)to do a manual export(sample code in example project, forum and ODK) If you have webnavigator, publish the picture and view all thescripts using "PdlPad"... //PerD

I am able to get the Scripts attached directly to the Properties (Trigger based). But I want to get also the scripts attached on the EVents. I am able to get the Type and name of all the events in a object, but no idea how to get the script. Any code snippet will be highly appreciated.

It exports all the scripts attached to all the properties/events of all the objects in ALL the PDLs in the Active Project directory. Thanks to all who replied and helped me to create this script. However oddly I'm getting errors when the "as <ObjectType>" is used. I'm using WinCC 7.2 (no updates). I wonder if what version you are using and if it's a version issue. Let me know, thanks! Update: Figured it out!! Silly me, I was trying to run this within the VBA events, rather than going through the Macros. I got it working now. Thanks! Though oddly I had to remove the "@" when you compare the filename. Update 2: HarrY, I would suggest adding Application.ActiveDocument.Close (used inS t e B o's script)at the end of your loop. Otherwise you'll have a bunch of PDLs open. I have about 500 screens and I'd run out of ram if i loaded them up. :) Cheers, Clarence

I wanted to export scripts from PDLs where the name starts with "@". that's why I use @. Other it will export the scripts from all the PDLs in the directory However the script can be modified according to the specific needs. Thanks, HarrY
