troubles loading S7-1200 CPU 1215C

nicolast Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello I have some trouble loading my program in a 1215C CPU. The CPU is on the network, the LED is blinking right when I ask it but when I try to load my program in it, the software displays an error window saying "Loading CPU (0132:000002) Link failure Unable to reach the selected online CPU" It seems to be working with a 1212C CPU and I use TIA 12. If anybody has a solution or hint it would help me a lot. Thanks

If anybody has a solution or hint it would help me a lot. Thanks Have you loaded V12 SP2 Update 5? What firmware do you have in that PLC? You can check it online by putting the exact part # from the PLC in the search box in the upper right of these forums and search.The searchwill tell you and it mustmatchin the PLC hardware configuration.

Is your ip address in the same subnet as your PLC? If it is not, manually adjust it to be in the same subnet and try again. For some reason, portal for me has not always been able (or allowed) to change the ip address, but as a local admin, you can change it manually to get around that problem.

nicolast Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	If I'm not mistaken, the plc 1215 and my computer aren't in the same subnet (something 119.XX and same thing 118.YY) but I've used a CPU 1212C in the same subnet as the 1215 (118.ZZ) without any trouble. the other thing is that I have no idea howw to change the ip adress if not with TIA

Cannot change ip address. 2. Cannot google how. [/rant] Maybe this automated tool for networking challenged folks provided by Siemens may work for you: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/98161300 It was just released very recently so it might be they are aware of a problem and this is a way around it.

nicolast Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	I launched the automation tool and the only thing I got for this CPU is "communication erro, failed to establish communication with CPU" I can only flash the LED, changing IP adress, reseting, stopping or running the SPU won't work and give me this error message

If anybody has a solution or hint it would help me a lot. Thanks Could you try to stop "Online" and redownload to CPU again ...or detect your CPU again ? I think error happen with 1212C and 1214C...soi think just syntax error......
