Hi dear freinds. I tried to connect turbidity meter Turbimax CUE21 to SM1231 AI module. Turbimax has Analog output 4-20mA:
The issue is that the value is unstable. %IW of analog input randomly changes from correct value to maximum. The value on the Turbimax display not changes. The current in circuit is stable 5.7mA. Why the value skips, when current of input stable? |

Hi barsice, What's you CPU type ? You may need to make a grounding for PLC and Analog Input SM card. Regards; Ahmed Kadry |

Yes. To this Analog module connected other sensors (level, pressure), and it work properly. |

Hi barsice, Your answers in points (1 , 3) makes us sure that the faulty comes from Turbidity sensor noise so I suggests point 2 to be the accurate solution in order to eliminate the noise from the sensor itself. In the sensor side you have connected a shielded cable (one terminal to +ve, one to -ve and the shield to GND pin ) Right ? My suggestion is in the PLC side to connect ( +ve cable terminal to +ve analog input pin ) , ( -ve cable terminal to -ve analog input pin and chassis GND ) , ( Shielded terminal to chassis GND ). By this way we try to make a noise filter. (This way is a completely hardware) Regarding software, please read this Topic , refer to huggy_d1 reply. any updates will be appreciated, Hoping to solve your issue. Regards; Ahmed Kadry |

Yes. It was first initial scheme of project. Of course I tried this connection. Thank you for topic. It's same problems, and same connection of sensors. But I always ground all chassis and ground pins all modules. But M pins and 0V of source I don't ground. Is it mistake? |
