Hello everyone,

This is my first approach working with USS communication and I do not have much experience with the USS_Drive_Control block or SIMOREG drives. I would appreciate some guidance to make sure I am configuring things correctly.

I am using a S7-1200 PLC with USS protocol to communicate with a SIMOREG 6RA70. The drive is controlled from an external source (such as digital inputs), and my goal is only to read parameters from the drive, without sending any kind of control or run commands from the PLC.

I have attached an image showing my current setup using the USS_Drive_Control block.

My intention is to leave RUN, DRIVE, DIR, OFF2, OFF3, and F_ACK all set to FALSE, and only enable EN and ENC. I would like to confirm if this configuration is correct to ensure the PLC will not interfere with the drive in any way.

I only want to read a few drive values without interacting with the drive's control logic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
