Where is the IPC377G?

x_Paycheck_x Member Joined: 10/24/2021 Last visit: 8/6/2025 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hey folks, I'm trying to add an IPC 377G (Basic, PC Based HMI) to my TIA v. 17 project and that particular Panel PC isn't in the list. It seems that it's a Basic panel, and I'm running TIA professional Advanced...or whatever. The naming isn't exactly clear or consistent. Well done there, Siemens. Anyway, no matter what I do (tried installing Basic WinCC 17, latest HSP, etc) i can't get this device in my list of hardware available. Any ideas? Thanks, $$$

I assume this is because you cannot get a configuration that includes a WinCC runtime. Since you can only run a PC based HMI on this PC, you need a WinCC version that is able to create a PC based HMI. This would be WinCC Advanced, WinCC Professional or WinCC Unified PC. If you have one of those systems, you can configure a PC station and equip this with the desired SIMATIC HMI application. Kind regards Stefan

You have to use it as a normal PC Station. Just create a PC Station insert your WinCC Runtime and a IE General Networkcard for communication purposes. --> you do not have to load the PC Harddware if you will only use the WinCC RT on the System, you only have to install the HMI Runtime on the PC and load the HMi project. (and make a few settings) Bye Murof

Thanks BR Hello If you want to run only a WinCC Professional RT on the IPC then you only have to insert a PC Station in your TIA Project then insert a WinCC RT Professional and a IE general Networkcard. Then you can set up everything including the PLc connection in the TIA Project. On the IPc you only have to install WinCC RT Prof and Simatic Net PC Software. Set PGPC Interface and thats it.... To download the project just load the WinC Prof RT to the IPC, you do not have to dowload the PC Station HW or go online to the PC Station! LINK Bye Murof
