Hi Mahmoud Gad, Please confirm whether the encoder is an incremental encoder or Absolute encoder.For Incremental encoder SMC30 is required and for Absolute Encoder SMC20 is required and also for a two pole or multi pole resolver SMC 10 is used. |

Dear Shahide043, If I can define the type of the encoder (Absolute OR Incremental), I would've selected the suitable SMC Module and the right connecting cable. But all I'm getting from the synchronous motor manual is that previuos line " a Digital servo FB ..... ", I don't know what does that mean exactly !! anyway, appreciate your help. Dear ChristophD, Thank you for your respond. One more question regarding the Connection Cables Selection. Please check attached doc. in which you will find the different connection cables for different system encoders. How can I know which cable to use with my SMC20? Thanks in Advance |

Dear ChristophD Im having the same problem and i dont know how to connect the encoder to the SMC20 because the pin assignment descriped in the encoder manual is not matching that of the SMC20 "please see attachment" you will find that the encoder signals are as following: 0V SIN+ SIN- COS+ COS- UG FS SCL SDI SDO and those signals are not mentioned on the SMC20 connection manual, please advice AttachmentEncoder.pdf (467 Downloads) |
