My question is how to set project step7 and wincc scada that more persons could work on it. For now we change each other and copy all new stuff to one set project. I am sure there is simpler solution for that. Could say what shall I do to have all changes in one place on hard disk? best regards

efka Posts: 799 Rating: (43)	Hi, When two different people working on the Step7 project and the WinCC project there is the possibility, that one person creates the Step7 project and one person works in the WinCC project. When both have finished you can import the WinCC project as OS-Station in WinCC. When you want to know, how to handle, when two ore more people work on the Step7 project for example, I do not have any different idea as you do at the moment. Maybe someone else best regards

You must install WinCC into server station and set your project like multi-users project. And your development engineers will connect like WinCC clients. One can edit alarm logging, one can edit tag logging, severals can edit pictures. But only first person who open picture have right to write (save picture). Best regards Jaromir

At the first there is limitation of on-line data monitoring and what was terrible - speed. You spend 10-30 secondduring opening network on the Ethenet 100 Mbit network with very strong PC server. The same reason why we don't use Portal V11 for big project, that there is not support for multi - engineering. It is fine that everything is in one portal but it is not for big project at this moment. Best regards Jaromir

After working so long with large projects with big teams, I really wish the Siemens comes up with sub-project concept which can be removed.Something likepossibilities to remove hierarchiesof PCS7, able to assign one developer to one hierarchy and to merge them once done would be greatfor all OEMs(big and small).In order to getovercome tags/PO limits there should be possibilities to assignlimits for each heirarchy to be assigned by the main coordinator. Anybody from SIEMENS "innovationdrivers" listening?? Krish

Offcourse a little help is welcome, but the main thing is make good regulation and follow the rules. I work in a big factory with 120 PLC's, lots of companies working on them and whe had a bad protocol for archiving. I spend almost a year to cleanup the mess some people made in different projects.
