Thank you also for the post it was helpful to me also. I have a question regarding the cable we should be using to communicate with the TI520c processors. I have a Siemens 505 cable, but it is also a 9 pin female end. Can I just use a gender changer and use the 505 cable, or is there a pin out for the cable. Thanks for your quick reply. i am unable to connect to a 530C using a standard 9pin female - 9pin female programming cable + a DB9 to DB25converter (the ones that were generally available in computer stores some years ago when RS232 washot stuff). Didn't really try to figure out why it doesn't work. Attached is the pinout for a 9 to 25 pin cable.This is actually a standard RS232 null modem cable with loopback handshaking. Hope this helps.
