S7-400,CPU 414H, redundancy system problem

Dang xuan The Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	We have problem with PLC S7-400, CPU S7-414H. Everything is OK until we go online with the PLC through PC. When I clicked test mode of CFC window, the PLC asked me the password, after I entered some wrong passwords, I saw all light of the alarm lights were active. We restarted the PLC but it did not work, The status of PLC: red leds INTF and EXTF are flashing the rest leds are dark; Please tell me how to show the problem? Best regards The

The one battery is almostempty, these battery have been used more than 3 year? I am afraid of alldatawas lost when Ipowered off the power supply for this CPU. Best regards Dang

(6ES7414..... ) If you have a Diagnostic Buffer of the CPUs when this is happening then it is usefull to find the problem. [;)] Are you using Failsafe as well, that because you have to type ina password? If all the LEDs are flashing then the CPU have found a command where no code for is, they call it the "Defect" state. [8)] When there is a Firmware update necessary, then you have to download the firmware from the next link: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6741018 Requirements for creating the operating system update card: S7 memory card of the type Flash 4 MB with order number 6ES7 952-1KM00-0AA0 or bigger STEP 7 version V3.1 or higher PG or PC with external prommer for programming the memory card I hope you have enough information to get your system running well.... [:o] On the other questions i have the next answers: Q1. When I check the battary of power supply? The one battery is almostempty, these battery have been used more than 3 year? A1. Normally the H-System have 10A Power supplys, so two batteries are included, if the switch on the PS is set on two batteries then there is not a big problem to be happened when one is empty. You could programm in OB81 some code so that it is possible to get a message. When there is nobody in the direct area of the system then it is wise to change them once in two year when the system is always on. When the system is for longer time switched off then it might be usefull to change the batteries every year. Q2. I am afraid of alldatawas lost when Ipowered off the power supply for this CPU. A2. When you have 4 batteries, then all the batteries have to be empty when by powering off all data will be lost. If it is a H-System that is working and there is nothing have to be changed then you might consider to place FEPROMs (normally i didn't do that because you can change anything very easy anymore).
