Hi All

Can you please advise if its possible to communicate between PLC sim advanced and PAC3220 power meter?

I got basics covered - i can ping ip of PAC3220, plc advanced is on the same network, port 502 is open as confirmed by tcping but tcping when targeting plc advanced does not bring success. Firewall is off.

I am constantly getting status 7002 and not data received at all.

Can you please suggest any pointers to check?

Is it possible to pull some data from physical device while using plc sim advance?

If plcadvanced is simulating the tcp/ip traffic and is nearly plc emulator what is fundamentally missing from getting fully working coms with power meter?

I also cannot see any reason why there would be a problem to use Modbus TCP to connect a PLC Advanced session to a PAC3220. 

How about connecting the simulator to some other Modbus TCP device for testing purposes? I am not familiar with PLC Advanced, so some web browsing delivered a possible tutorial:

Focus on getting the PLC simulator running with a known entity first. Show what you are doing when you have questions. This would encourage more interaction from the volunteers. Just for the interest sake, please let me know how it goes.

One strange thing i see with your post, you ask for different HW or SW than WinCC TIA Portal in this Conference
