brother12 Member Joined: 7/28/2016 Last visit: 8/24/2020 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Does anyone know how to transfer the product data from the Industry Online Support app on the cell phone to the desktop? I used it to scan the product code (which works great) but I'd like to get the info off the phone to my desk computer so I can download the product drawings. The CAx download page can use scripts or such but I don't see anyway to get it from one part of Industry Support to another. I saved them all as 'favorites' and synchronised my account so I could bring them up on my desktop computer but there appears no way to get it to the CAx download page. This means a very long time of entering product numbers. I would have thought the download page would be part of the product info with the app but it appears to be very truncated (ie. limited info). The download option is not available on the cell phone (probably for good reason) but I'm surprised when I review it on the computer it doesn't have this as an option.

If you select a product within the app and add it to the favorites you will find it in the desktop application under mySupport favorites. So the transfer is possible. As you already wrote CAx data on a cell phone are maybe not so helpful. This is the reason why they are not offered at the moment within the app. At the desktop version this are the options I have found: Click the favorites on products. At the desktop page with the details of the product you could request the data for every product separately. This should be the quickest way if you got only a few products. If you got a longer list of products you should think about the creation of a product list. Open the product detail page again and select "Add to mySupport products". The products will be added to “My Products / Clipboard”. After you’ve added all the products you need CAx data for, please click the link “My Products / Clipboard”. You will be forwarded to the mySupport. Then you have to create a new folder structure. Therefore click on the red arrow and select “New folder”. Then click on the red arrow next to the new folder and select “New product list”. After you made that you can copy the products from the Clipboard to the new product list. Just select all products and drag and drop them to the product list. When you are finished with this, click on the red arrow of the product list and select “Export”. You’ll then receive a CSV file. Open it, select all products, copy them and paste them into the CAx download manager. Basic information about mySupport products could be found within the mySupport products start page (Video). This would be a third option: You could also send all scanned products as an E-mail via the app. In the E-mail you receive the article number you need for creating a CAx download. For some reason there were a number of entries that came back empty with a drop down list of suggested products instead of the product I had entered (ie. the part number was not recognised). The drop down was a very condensed list of part numbers about 30 products long (difficult to read). Not sure what was going on but it took me 3 or 4 tries to get the CAx entry to take my part numbers. I am pretty sure that I entered the exact same numbers each time but somehow it worked and downloaded all the parts. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check out the instructions vids next time.
