Hello,
examples... This Forum use very good search system where you can find Topics, examples and also knowledge base. Imagine that it can be hard to show you exactly same example for what you asking. It is recomemnded start to use MB_CLIENT block as alone, configure it as Help shows and manually set parameters, start to do tests. Problematic is big and not easy for first time in case you step to Modbus, some knowledge is required and also with basically networking problematic. In this time we have here similar problematic topics where very similar situation is like yours. Look at that and improve some knowledge also, it will be very useful to you to refresh some ideas how to do that. Topic: Modbus TCP with S7-1200 and more Server devices One important difference to my linked topic and your situation as I understand. Your situation shows like many drives at TCP network connected, it means that every drive need have different IP address with own Port value 502, as Servers. In this case your system can be like one CLIENT block at S7-1200, connect to one drive at time, collect data, disconnect, set different parameters for next drive (IP, Port if needed) and connect again, simply same procedure as previously with previous drive. This can be system of functionality. Your next thing what you need to know prior collect data with Modbus protocol generally is what registers type, how much and with what data type you want collect from specific device. This is everytime configured at CLIENT block parameters. Network parameters are configured at specific CLIENT cfg or specific network structure. |
