Creating custom sms messages with s7-224xp and sinaut md720-3

Beep-A Posts: 90 Rating: (1)	In my software for simatic s7-224xp and MC45, I'm using AT commands for sending SMS. The SMS message is made of ordinary text and data converted into ASCII. We decided to upgrade our system and change a MC45 with the new sinaut GSM modem MD720-3. The problem is when I try to send a character for "new line" - <CR> or hex: 0D, the result is not what should be. The same software is working perfectly with the MC45. What can be wrong?

Calm_down Posts: 324 Rating: (30)	Hi, I talked to a guy I know who is very into the MD720-3. He told me you will have to replace the "0D" for <CR> with a "$n" this will work. Sorry for the late reply. Stay calm.

So, I tried with this data: VB100 12 VB101 'text1' VB106 '$N' VB107 'text2' VB112 16#1A The message that I get on my GSM-phone is: "text1text2", and not "text1" "text2" Could You, please, check again with your friend about this problem? Beep-A Posts: 90 Rating: (1)	Hi Calm_down, again When I try to enter "$n" in the Data Block Editor of MicroWIN, the string "$n" isautomatically turned into "$N". It would be better if You can find the hexof this ascii code? Thanks again. Best regards.

The problem is that I can't check the line termination character with theAT command "ATS3?" because it is not supported by the MD720-3. How is this problem solved in the WDC_SMS library routine (example SET21)? Best regards
