Ethernet problem in Field PG P4

Import-User-1 Posts: 3609 Rating: (29)	Hi! We have buy two new Field PG P4 + W2K SP3. With the new PGs we don't succeed in sending the electronic mail through our LAN (ethernet): an alarm of "timeout TCP" appears. Our program of e-mail is PEGASUS MAIL V4.02a. The problem doesn't happen with the "old" Field PG PIII (we have 13 of them, all with the same softwares). In a newsgroup PEGASUS we have read that an incompatibility exists between W2K SP3 and the card "VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter" (the present card on the Field PG P4). Can someone help us?

Import-User-1 Posts: 3609 Rating: (29)	I have made some tests: I have installed a card PCMCIA "MICRONET 10/100 fast ethernet adapter" model SP162 and all it correctly works (the dispatch of the mail regularly happens!). If I connect the LAN - cable to the connector of the ethernet-card integrated in the PG (VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter) the sending of the mail doesn't run (TCP timeout). I am almost sure that the problem is caused by the card "VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter" integrated in the motherboard of the Field PG P4. Can someone point out me a solution to this problem of the "new" Field PG?

(Via Hyperion 4 in 1 driver) You can download this driver at http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2 A later driver for the ethernet adapter (as you have at your Backup CD) doesn't exist. The problem is that the pegasus software seems to be compatible to the via rhine ethernet adapter. But we can't do anything against it.
