Hello. My goal is to upgrade the firmware of g120 from 4.4 to 4.6

I already have other g120 drives that have v4.6 and I want to copy firmware from them to new one(not download)

my question is: I don't have a special memory card for this purpose. Is it possible to do this with a typical SD card? and if yes or not, how much space does a memory card need for the upgrade?

 Download the fw upgrade files from SiePortal.

Then look how much they need space. A 2GB SD should be just fine for the firmware files.

Then read from the G120 manual, how to perform the fw upgrade.

Thanks for your help. but my problem is that my required firmware is not available for download and Is it possible to insert a Sd card (typical or special)  into a desired g120 and copy the firmware to sd card then insert sd card into another g120 and copy it into drive?

Is this way practical? (instead of download)

 What is the exact firmware version you need? Here's a link for the V4.6 for different G120 CU's.

SINAMICS G120 firmware version 4.6 HF22

You can't "upload" a firmware from the drive. You need to download the update files from SiePortal.

A normal SD card with Fat32 is needed for the firmware update. Read from the drive manual the requirements and procedure for firmware upgrade.
