I had a very strange problem with UP 588 Colour Touch Panel (software: ETS4). I had to change some behavior of the (by me) previously installed network. All devices received their new configuration during download, but UP 588 failed. The all devices are on the same physical and logical line (1.1), without couplers. I tried to delete address and reassign it again, to unload and load application, but without success. I even downloaded firmware (v.1.1.12, UpgradeUP588_V112.exe), although in UP 588 already was that version. What was more interesting, device responded on address query (Diagnostics / Individual addresses...), flashes LED, etc. But when I asked Diagnostics/ Device Info, in part of the table named Application Program was two rows with unusual messages: Load State: Loading (normally Loaded) Run State: Halted (normally Running) I suspected that UP is malfunctioned (although it worked just before I started programming) and brought other UP from other floor. And this new behaved in the same way! I tried to download a UP 588 from other line in project, and it succeded!!! Then I tried belonging configuration and it failed again! So I now was sure that hardware is working, but there is some software problem. After some time of trying, I noted that my KNX-USB Interface N 148 got an address 1.1.255. Wait a minute: I remembered that it usually had an address 15.15.255! And when I changed it in communication parameters, the whole job succeded! I found this link: How to Solve it: Proper Local Settings of a USB Interface for Programming Devices but it is completely opposite to my problem?! So I concluded that UP 588 (or N 148) has a bug: it can not be programmed if USB-KNX has the same line address! Does anybody had a similar problem? |
