Hi all, I have a similar issue on a Micromaster 440. It tripped on overcurrent F0001 and can not be reset.:
I was not able to check the IGBTs on the drive because the drive is in a difficult spot. Is there a certain Manual for the MM440 on how to take apart and test the unit? Also can we still get replacements parts or the whole Micromaster 440 unit? Part Nr: 6SE6440-2UD34-5FA1 45kw If we can not get a replacement part, what is a good Sinamics Replacement for it? And is there a conversion tool in Starter/Scout to convert all the settings from the Micromaster 440 to a Sinamics Unit? Dear JS1892, I assume, that the drive has normally worked before, nothing changed in parameters, not at motor, no cable damage...? Just to sort out the situation - how long was it working now? How are the ambient conditions for the converter, cables, motor? What are the load conditions (continous/steady, strong torque variations)? To your questions: Testing the unit - I know there are some possibilities for bigger Matserdrives, but for MM4, I don't know any. Siemens themselfs could do special investigations in their workshops but this would most probably not fit here. Yes, this MM4 can be still ordered as spare part (see https://mall.industry.siemens.com/mall/en/en/Catalog/Product/6SE6440-2UD34-5FA1). If you want to have a e.g. SINAMICS G120 instead of a MM4, you can use the Retrofit Kit configurator (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/sc/5590/retrofit-kits) to get info about a Retrofit Kit which contains all needed info and also a parameter conversion tool. (This configurator is not yet released in many webshops but ready for purchase in Industry Mall) best regards |

Hi wmartin987, Thank you very much for the detailed reply. The drive has normally worked before but had to be replaced in the past approximately 3 years ago, All Parameters are as they were according to the customer. The drive is located within a boiler room, which is cooled though if it gets too hot, the Drive runs a compressor. The motor is smaller than the max rating of the drive by around 20% but because it runs a compressorI would say we have strong torque variations. The motor itself is okay, tested insulation resistance which was a clear pass but I can not measure the windings because the UVW cables do not go into the terminal box and directly into the motor.The thermocouple installed is within range, around 600Ohm. The Motor cables have been disconnected, the drive powered up again and the VSD still stuck on Fault F0001 which can not be reset. The drive has been moved to our workshop until spares or a replacement can be organized. In the workshop the unit has been powered up again with all controls disconnected and the Fault F0001 could still not be reset, therefore there must be an issue with the drive. Is there no chance at all to get Siemens manuals? Also the Spare part link is for a full drive, the customer would like the unit to be fixed somehow. Are there any spare parts availlable eg. IGBTs? Or is this just for Siemens personnell? Thanks for the help. Kind Regards |
