MM420, Analog setpoint with selectable boost?

Entrec Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	Hello, I have an application that requires a 420 to have an analog setpoint with a potentiometer and to have a switchable boost (+5%) via the digital inputs. Is such a thing possible? I have found the option to use fixed setpoints, but not in combination with the analog input. 420.... potmeter.... analog setpoint button pressed...analog setpoint + X% button released... back to analog setpoint If a % is not possible, I can get away with a Hz value instead... Thank you.

With great effort I found out there are more modes than listed in my manual, or there is no explanation about configuring mixed modes. Do I just add both decimals? Like 23 for Analog plus Setpoint. I found some settings of an old project that uses this setting. If so, do the values I enter further on at 1001-1002-etc represent a percentage or a frequency. Thank you for your time

Selectable with a digital input. Also look at par. 1070 (main setpoint) When you select 23 at par. 1000, your main setpoint is the fixed frequencie and the analog signal is the additional setpoint. Entrec Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	Okay... just to confirm p1000 = 23 p1001 = 0 p1002 = 5 p1080 = 20Hz (min freq.) p1082 = 70Hz (max freq.) pot 0-100% = 20 - 50Hz example 1: Pot set to 25Hz Digital input 1 = 0 Speed = 25Hz + 0Hz = 25Hz ? example 2: Pot set to 35Hz Digital input 1 = 1 Speed =35Hz + 5Hz = 40Hz ? example 3: Pot set to 50Hz (100%) Digital input 1 = 1 Speed =50Hz + 5Hz = 55Hz ? When you use P1000 = 32, you will select: Main setpoint is the analog signal and the additional setpoint is the fixed frequencies. When you want to use Digital input 1, for the selection of the fixed frequencie, you should use the following parameter: P1001 = 5 Hz. Because this is FF1, and when digital input 1 is 0, you select FF0, which is always 0 Hz. P1002 is the FF2, which you aren't using. I think the examples will work as you said. Best regards, Wizard

P1000 allows the use of combination setpoints. The basic functions are outlined as: 0=No main setpoint 1=MOP setpoint (typically this refers to the BOP up/down keys) 2=Analogue setpoint 3=Fixed frequency (already explained by wizard) 4=USS on BOP link (typically where you are using Starter/Drivemonitor via PC connect kit) 5=USS on COM link (using Starter/Drivemonitor via RS485 terminals on IO board) 6=CB on COM link (where your setpoint is coming from a Profibus/Devicenet/Canbus module) Now, P1000 allows you to combine any of these setpoints together. Think of P1000=XY where Y is your main setpoint and X is your additional setpoint. By combining the numbers above, you can have any combination of two different setpoints. So, for example, if you wanted to use an analogue input as the main setpoint and the BOP up/down keys as an additional setpoint, then P1000=12.
