OPC server for twenty S7-200

AndrewM Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Dear members! Does anybody knows how to collect data from twenty S7-200 controllers in one OPC server. Our system has twenty S7-200 with CPU224XP and CP243-1. Software: WINCC PCS7 6.0 , STEP7 MICROWIN V4.0.1.10, S7-200 PC ACCESS V1.0.2.26S7-200 PC ACCESS V1.0.2.26. Regards, Andrew

I see two possible other solutions: 1) WinCC accesses only one CPU200 with PC Access. The one CPU200 communicates with PPI protocol (Profibus cable) with the other CPU200. If the total length of the PPI network is more the 50m you can use RS485 repeaters (like in a Profibus network). 2) Use the OPC server of Simatic Net instead of "PC Access". With Ethernet even 20 CPU200 should be possible. Technical Support for Automation & Drives
