Hello Everyone,

We tried to use PAC3220 with PROFINET module (7KM93 ...) but after we downloaded the hardware an error occurred. In the picture shown that the module inserted is different form the one expected. I downloaded the GSDML-V2.3-Siemens-SENTRONplus-20170717 but the problem continue. 

Important : I am using STEP-7 v2.3

Someone can help me, please?

Are you sure you are using Step 7 v2.3? I do not remember v2.3 as supporting Profinet... Did you mean v5.3?

The module you show in your configuration is the Sentron PAC 3220, your nessage sates that the Profinet configurator is expecting a an Switched Ethernet Expansion module in the Sentron PAC 3220. How have you done your Profinet cnfiguration?

Thanks for your answer  Sorry!!! You are right. My step7 version is 5.3 

I did the Profinet configuration directly in my PAC3220 (going in Communication > Expansion > Ethernet) and it didn't work. So I tried to configurate in my hardware with no success. In both ways I was able to find PAC3220 in my network (same IP and Device Name) and the error continues.

I don't know if this 7KM9300 expansion have a different profinet configuration.

If youlook at the descriptions of the Sentron PAC 3220 module in the screenshot proposed earlier, you wil see it suppors Modbus TCP, not Prfinet. If you want to work with Profinet, you need to install a Switched Ethernet Profinet expansion module.

If you decide to work with Modbus TCP, have a look at this application example, shwing how you can do this using  a S7-1500 CPU with a PAC 3220:

If you want to continue wih Profinet, the following manual will show you how to setup and configure the Profinet expansion module for the PAC 3220, and give you details on the different Basic types (telegrams) for data exchanges to the CPU, suh as can be seen in this section for Basic Type 3:

Hi everyone,

I would like to add that the PROFINET expansion 7KM9300-0AE02-0AA0 isn't supported by STEP7 V5.3.

So if you buy this version of PROFINET expansion, better take a look on the datasheet
