Hello Wincc, As compared to the MM440 the Simodrive 611U is a multi-axis drive. It is possible to operate standard induction motors with output frequencies up to 1500 Hz, 1FT6/7, 1FK6/7, 1FE1, 1FW3, 1FW6 and1FN1/3, etc. The drive can be operated in both velocity and basic positioning modes. It also can be operated in torque/current mode. U stands for Universal which essentially means it can power practically all types of motors and it can operate in multiple modes. There are 256 traversing blocks that can be programmed. I encourage you to get a copy of SimoCom U software for commissioning and diagnosing. It can be downloaded from http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/10804940/133100. This is a generic Simodrive download site and you may want to download the latest version (i.e., V12.1). Documentation is available at http://www.automation.siemens.com/doconweb. Hope this helps... |
