Sinamics parameterization from simatic PG on ethernet

AMJ Posts: 87 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, How Sinamics G120 can be parameterized through Simatic manager? We are having Simatic Manager V5.4 also we have Starter software installed on same PG. We are using following set up: 1) CPU 414-3 DP 2) CP 443-1 3) Sinamics S120 --- V2.4 Profibus link is established between CPU and Sinamics. But Now by using the PG we want to parameterize Sinamics, though PG doesnt have profibus card. But PG is being used on ethernet interface. Can it be possible to parameterize? if yes then how? Read this FAQ, it describes not exactly the configuration what you are asking for, but I'm shure you will be able to transfer the informations to your situation.

AMJ Posts: 87 Rating: (1)	Dear Miami, I have gone through that manual, but what my query is, thruough ethernet is possible I mean via CP 443-1. So that I can use the same PG for my S7 application as well as I can acess all sinamics drive on the same PG/PC interface (i.e ehternet). We have also Starter software tool which can be integrated on our PCS 7 project. Is it possible? and if yes than How? Like In our past project we were using the Step7 anb drive ES on same PG-PC and through ehternet we operate, monitor and parameterize PLC as well as all our Simovert drives. Regards, Ankur

With a S7-400 CP and SINAMICS S120 in my eyes it should work too, but maybe a expert for this forum can answer it with more reability than I.

AMJ Posts: 87 Rating: (1)	Dear Miami, We had successfully communicate sinamics with ethernet PG. Thanx for the help. What I have concluded that one must have Drive ES and also one has to defien PG/PC in Netpro and aslo has to define the PG/PC interface in it. Thanx for the help.
