A customer is getting the following error message: "Error in system function 'InvertLinearScaling': Tag value range exceeded" (No. 70043) As per the suggestion in a similar forum post, I used TIA portal's search function to try to find where this function is used. The only thing that comes up is actual message text under HMI Alarms -> System events. I tried adding the function to an HMI object and searching. Sure enough, it appears in the search menu when actually used. Why is this error being thrown when this function is not used in the project? Is it invoked somewhere else where it cannot be searched for? The system function LinearScaling is used in the project, could this be a misnomer? How do I track down what tag is causing this issue? |

Hi! I would regenerate the loaded project by deleting the IM folder: -> How do I delete the IM folder of my TIA Portal project? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109778709 I would update to the latest available version of the screen and then do a full load |
