Connection to HMI and reset to factory settings can't be done

please look into the attachment. I mean your PG/PC Settings are wrong.

Hope this could be the cause.

I have done what The Brain told....

But, on changing nothing, can't communicate, and can't make factory reset...

you mean two panels are defective??

How to repair?

Yes, Ehernet ports of two panels is not blinking/don't lit up after the cable is connected.

But why two panels nearly at same time became defective?

Can  they be repaired? 

@PCSEngineer1 - the same problem has just happened to me. An hour ago one of our TP900 Comfort panels stopped from booting and there is no way to communicate with it. The loader doesn's show up after powering up - it displays SIMATIC HMI welcome screen and after a few minutes it goes black and only a white cursor is blanking at the top left corner (just like on old PC's with MS-DOS system). The reset-to-the-factory-settings according to aforementioned instructions is impossible to do - the process stucks at "please boot the HMI device" (see attachment) - I power off and power on again the HMI then but still without success. In my case the Ethernet LED's are working on both ports of the TP900 and on the PG a network connection shows up, but it doesn't respond to ping at its network address (192.168.1.6). Despite of that the reset-to-the-factory-settings is trying to connect via MAC address, so the IP address is irrelevant in that case, am I right? I have a complete backup (with licenses) of the working panel, but I can't put it back to this panel. Is there something I can check before sending it to repair?

PS. Is it possible to  migrate the project to TP700 comfort panel?

There seems to be this issue with Comfort panels. We have Two TP-1900 Comfort with same problem.

When we raised a support request, on Phone they informed that there is no way these can be restored / Factory reset.

When we asked them to confirm the same thing on EMail. They gave the usual links which everyone here has already tried.

PS. Is it possible to  migrate the project to TP700 comfort panel?

 Should be possible to change TP900 to TP700 by "Change device". Both devices have the same resolution of 800x840px, so none of the pages need to be re-sized.

What kind of Ethernet cable are you using?

Can you give the pinout of the cable you are using?

@PCSEngineer1 - what do you need a pinout for? It's a standard straight ethernet cable.

We'll send that TP900 to repair. We've transferred project (fortunately we have an original PLC and HMI project) onto TP700 and it works OK.
