HI,

I am new to logo, only done some basic level. I have been asked to create a programmer to automate one of our processes.

The sequence is very simple - I have four solenoids and need to operate say solenoid A then solenoid B etc. there are switches for the solenoids to be controlled - for example digital input 1 sees the cylinder so therefore Q1 operates solenoid A and then when the shuttle reaches the opposite end there will be a switch detecting and then operate another solenoid.

is there a way i can complete the cycle and then after the fourth solenoid is operated there can be a timer off say 20 seconds and then repeats the programmer and it just carries on and on and on?

ideally i would like a start button and then it will repeat over and over.

its a 1m cylinder where a shuttle operates all the way to the left and also all the way to the right (2 solenoids) there will be a switch either side to tell if its at left or right.

the sequence is to operate solenoid - take it to the right and then operate another solenoid to close a fixed clamp cylinder. 

fire external cutter (independant)

then need to operate another solenoid to open moving clamp 

then need to operate another solenoid to move shuttle right to left 

then need to operate soleniod to open fixed clamp cylinder

then need to operate solenoid to close moving clamp

then need to operate solenoid to open fixed clamp

then finally solenoid to move shuttle left to right.

with a couple seconds time delay between actions. 

then repeat process.

There will be a switch on the left side (magnetic sensor)

right side (magnetic sensor)

moving clamp (magnetic sensor)

fixed clamp (magnetic sensor) 

Q1 = Shuttle drives to right
Q2 = Shuttle drives to left

Q3 = fixed clamp open/close

Q4 = moving clamp open/close

hopefully the switching on Q3 and Q4 can be used to open and close clamps. 

I1 - start

I2 - stop.

if its possible a interlock to preventing Q1 and Q2 operating unless the moving clamp is opened. 

the sensors are open circuit until sees a magnet then contact is made.
