WinCC V11 SP1 Professional with MP377 an WMvare Workstation

jarekfalk Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, On WMVare Workstation I have WinXP Pro with WinCC V11 SP1 Professional. I migrated project from WinCCflexible 2008SP2 toWinCC V11.I used to transfered project to MP377 HMIfrom WinCC flexible2008 using MPI/DP Mode (in set PG/PC interface I had set NetLink Pro ETH(MPI) driver - to transfer project using this converter (www.softing.com)). But in WinCC V11 project (migrated or a new project) when I make Download to divice in Extended download to device window in Type of the PG/PC interface selection isn't MPI/DP interface. It is possible to transfer project from WinCC V11 Pro to MP377 using MPI conection? Attachment Ext_download.JPG (936 Downloads)

jarekfalk Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Ok I know that is better, but I wrote that I have NetLinkProETH converter, phisicaly I use Ethernet connection but this converter is "blank" for the second MPI/DP side so WinCCFlexible can only connect using this MPI/DP connection. So why it is not available (see attachment from first post)?. Maybe becouse VMVare operating system don't have phisically connected e.x. CP5512 card?

Tweety Posts: 3037 Rating: (192)	Hello jarekfalk, You can download from WinCC V11 about MPI/DP to MP377 without VMware. The download about MPI/DP does not work in the VMware. The VMware can not connect to the CP 5512 or so. You work with VMware. You must use Ethernet for download to MP377. Tweety

jarekfalk Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi Tweety, That's right on "real" Windows system there is no problem, WinCC found CP5512 card, and there is no problem. Tell me, is there an option in WinCC V11 to uncheck ,or to switch off the automatically serching online connection - so if i make it disabled i can choose the all connection (even if it's disabled - for expample MPI/DP)
