Hello Grixo; You do not give us much information that can help us proviide an answer to your question. What file have you downloaded from the Danfoss site, and how have you tried to integrate it in Step 7 (TIA Portal- which version?)? The screenshot below shows Fieldbus options for the Dandfoss VLT and VACON drives, and comes from this presentation pdf: - Danfoss VLT drives- fieldbus As you can see, you need an optional MCA120 Profinet adapter to connect the FC302 drive to Profinet, and the gsdml file provided by Danfoss is linked to that adapter: - Danfoss MCA 120 Profinet adapter https://files.danfoss.com/download/Drives/DKDDPFO603A302_Profinet_MCA120_LoRes.pdf - Danfoss MCA 120 gsdml file download - Danfoss MCA120 Profinet programming guide https://files.danfoss.com/download/Drives/MG92D102.pdf If these downloads do not provide enough information, please show us (screenshots would be useful) the steps you have implemented to setup this gsdml file in Step 7, and the results, such as error messages if any. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello kmansal; Here is the gsdml file for the MCA 120, the Profinet interface for the Danfoss FC302. I downloaded it from the link in my last post above, quite easily. What issues did you have when atempting to follow the link? You can also download the programming guide manual for the MCA 120 in the same link, if it can help. Do you know the steps to integrate this file in TIA Portal? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier AttachmentVLT_MCA120_PROFINET_GSDML_2018-02-21.zip (1676 Downloads) |

Hello kmansal; The gsd files reside in the programming PC and are not transfered to the PLC when they are integrated in the Step 7 program. So when you upload from the PLC the 3rd-party gsdml files are not found in the uploaded program;only the Profinet configuration is downloaded to the PLC (the Siemens Profinet files are part of Step 7, so they are found when you open the uploaded file with the Profinet configurator). You must then locate the gsdml file from the vendor's website such as the MCA 320 file linkshown earlier) and integrate it in Step 7. Here is a video example for a Profinet drive (from SEW Eurodrive) showing the download off the drive's gsdml file from manufacturer site and (from 1:25) the steps to integrate the drive in the Step 7 program. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PlNPoe6GEE For your first attempt simply follow the video guide and see if there is no issue to integrate the gsdml file in Step 7 and then try to configure your drive in the Proinet configurator of Step 7. If all goes well, no problem. If you have issues, take a screenshot of the error messages and post them here, as an attachment, so we can dscuss this further. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
