Problem with analog output

Diagnostics tells me that the module is installed and running. The table control QW80 see the value in the registry but nothing comes out of the module (0Volt). What could it be? The form is new. Thanks

Thanks I suppose that you configure it as Voltage output. Am I Right? Are you connect just the voltimeter to 0 0M? Is it 0 or 0M connected to M of the power supply? How do you set/monitore the signal, in Watch Table?

I connected to the negative inverter 0M and 0 volt inverter to the analog (0-10 volts) Watch in Table I create a new table and write it in the address to be monitored. The value I see is correct, but the output of the analog module 0Volt What could be causing this? Thanks

0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 11/19/2024 Posts: 15406 Rating: (2446)	It sounds like the AO module is missing a power or common wire. L+ to 24V and M to 24-Common. What is the voltage right at the terminal on the PLC? Could it be the wiring was slightly off and connected to the wrong terminal? It is quite a common problem with S7-1200 modules to have wiring problems, especially with the system being so new.

My mistake. Yes the signal module with the 1 x 12 bit AO just has the two wires connected (output and common). In the PLC hardware configuration, assume you have the 6ES7 232-4HA30-0XB0 module configured with the default address of 80 (fromfirst post). When you load the hardware configuration to the PLC, does it show any errors or warning with the hardware? Does the PLC sense the AO module and accept the hardware configuration without error? Is it possible QW80 is accessed by something else like QD78? I think you said you checked the watch table for QW80 and it had non-zero values but the 2nd pin from the left on the AO module had no voltage. If the hardware configuration has been accepted by the PLC and the watch table value shows non-zero values within the 12-bit range (less than around 27000), no voltage out would mean the signal board is not working or the connector is not seated properly? Hope that helps with some ideas.
