I want to measure the temperature and activate outputs as the temperature rises. What additional hardware do I need? I already have a PT1000 sensor that I would like to connect to the analogue input. Your base module does have analog inputs, but they are only for 0-10V signals. For PT100/1000 sensors, you need either an AM2 RTD expansion module or an external PT converter with a 0-10V output. A 0/4-20 mA output is also possible, but then you need a 500 ohm resistor to convert the current signal into a voltage signal.

But to experiment a bit with your PT1000 probe without spending a lot of money, here's a link to help you get started. Note: The accuracy leaves a lot to be desired, but it's perfectly fine to start practicing before purchasing an AM2 RTD module. Attachment Temperature regulator with PT1000.zip (214 Downloads)
