I'm trying to figure out this for myself, but it just confuses me a lot after some trails

I have a device that send data to an input byte to my PLC, each bit corresponds to a value in binary coded like below:

bit 1 = SP00, bit 2= SP01, bit 3= SP02, bit4= SP03...etc. With a resolution of 0.1m/s

The example says: Speed= 4.7m/s -- speed output (from device) = 47 that I believe is 0010 1111 in binary

And is like this from the device:

Bit1 = 1

Bit2 = 1

Bit3 = 1

Bit4 = 1

Bit5 = 0

Bit6 = 1

I tried with func ADD and MOVE but I don't know if I have to create a Stat/Temp for each one. Also is suppose to give a value from 0 to 12.5m/s all the time

If somebody has a better idea I will appreciate

1. “Gather” turn Array of Bool to Byte.

2. “Byte_to_Real” turns Byte become Real Number.

3. “Mul” (Multiply) your real with your ratio (0.1) gives the final result (Speed Output)

Why do you think it's a BCD number?

With 8 bits you cannot encode a number like 126 or 127 in BCD.

@qwazee you mention a BCD in which application I must find some of these BCD number?
