Alarm Class Acknowledgement Triggering Bit İssue

Hi,

I have a KTP700 Basic PN - 6AV2 123-2GB03-0AX0.

I'm logging alarms to USB. Everything works fine. 

Alarms are selected as ERRORS class triggered when the bit is TRUE. that's ok.

I want to keep actions like "Pump is on", "Pump is off" actions done by the operator.

So I choose the class as an Acknowledgement. Everything is ok until now. When the triggering bit is changed to TRUE "Pump is on" is saved to the data log. but when the triggering bit changed to FALSE "Pump is on" is saved to the data log again. 

I want to save the action "Pump is on", just when the triggering bit is TRUE just like Error Class. What I have to do to solve that?

using the Alarm archive you will get an entry for incoming (positive edge) and outgoing (negative edge). In my opinion you cannot modify this behaviour.

You can create your own file and write only in case of a positive edge (bit is set). Please refer to With SIMATIC WinCC (TIA Portal) on a panel, how do you access process data in a file via a script?.

I want to find a way another than using a script. How can people save the actions of the operator to datalog in general? 

Is there a way to do that by using the incoming event of a discrete alarm, save a string tag to datalog?

the string tag defined before something like "Pump is on". is it possible?

there is a function named "LogTag".  can this function do that?

ah, you are using a Basic panel, then you can't use scripts anyway.

How is it working at the moment? You have two buttons for switching on and off the pump? With this information we can think about it.

It could be an option to add a boolean tag that you invert when switching the pump on, only.

So try the following please:

Use this event to invert an additional tag and use this tag to trigger the alarm.

1. OFF > ON, set tag, event in the archive (alarm is coming)
2. ON > OFF, no effect on tag, no event in the archive
3. OFF > ON, reset tag, event in the archive (alarm is going)
