How to change value of template's properties in Tia Portal WInCC

MTomczak Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello In my panel project in Tia Portal WInCC I want to apply procedure any command ( for example start pump ) first choose from one button, and next using antoher button confirm the action or reject it. Therefore, I created a tempalte ( so as to be able to use it many times), where I declarated the properties relevant tags that the placing template on the screen attaches to variables ine the PLC. In the template I created local variables that change the state depending on the button pressed, an only pressing apply, the state on the tags in properties, which in turn on the screen are assigned to variables in the PLC. In order to rewrite the value of using scripts in VB. Unfortunately, each time referring to the tags in the properties in the template is perceived as a bad reference by teh complier. How to change the value of the variable/tag located in properties using VB script? I tried these ways: 1. SmartTags("Properties\My_Tag") = 1 2. SmartTags("Properties\My_Tag") = True 3. SmartTags("Properties\My_Tag") = SmartTags("My_Local_Value") 4. SetTag"Properties\My_Value",1 Best Regards Mikołaj

Kmessier123 Posts: 17 Rating: (2)	I'm not sure to understand your question... When your are talking about template, are you talking about Faceplate? Are you talking about de local Tag (defined in the Faceplate?) or are you talking about the tags defined in the Interface of the Faceplate? Some pictures might help. Regards, KM

I want to change value of local variables using buttons. 2. If the command is correct, I want via script in VB rewrite the state of local variables on the variables avalible in the properties. 3. If not, the solution differs. Please tell us which one you use. 1) > I want to change value of local variables using buttons. Most simple way is to use the system functions SetBit and ResetBit on a button. If you want to check on the status of the local tag you can use an I/O-field, but make sure it isn't set to "input" only. 2) > If the command is correct, I want via script in VB rewrite the state of local variables on the variables avalible in the properties. The syntax SmartTags("Properties\Bool_Properties") = SmartTags ("Bool_Local") works fine for me. Make sure you call the script with a button. 3) > View variables from properties. Add an I/O-field. Connect it to the tag in properties. (Klick on "[...] > ModuleDevice > Properties" and select the tag.) Which step is problematic to you? What does not work?

MTomczak Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Yes, I'm using faceplates for WinCC RT Advanced/Comfort Panel - TIA Portal V13 Sp1 Up7. I have a problem with changing values of variables in properties by using scripts in VB. Step 2. When I'm using syntax like you showed me, complier throws an error. I pu a second pdf file. 1. The name of the script in VB with syntax and command. 2. Way to run the script ( click button). 3. Error when compiling P.S. I'm using the same syntax as you. Try commenting out one line after the other and click the "Check Syntax" button for each line. Do all lines generate the error or can you separate one? I could imagine some error in the way the tags are written. (But I don't see any error.) Did you type the tags manually or use the button with the white page and the yellow cube or any other way? Is there any code in "VB_Reset" ? It seems like this script doesn't generate an error.

MTomczak Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	It does not work even if i leave only one line. It seems that the problem is in the syntax. I dont understand TIA Portal. When I check the syntax ( even with all lines ) - everything is correct. When I try to compile it - Tia throws an syntax error. I tried to enter it manually, through a combination of CTRL+J, and by pressing button with yellow cube. Contents of VB_Reset is in the annex. Here everything is ok. In VB_Reset I don't refer to variables in properties. Maybe you are able to send me a simple program that does the same thing and it works. I check how it behave on my computer.
