If you want to have an S7-Connection from each of two CP 1613 to one S7-300 CP 343-1 EX or GX I see no problem. If you want to have two S7-300 CPUs with each one has one CP 343-1 be connected to two CP 1613 I see no problem too, but you will have to do a lot of programming in your PC. [:P] If you want to have the S7-300 be active and finding out which CP 1613 is still available to be written to... this might lead to even some more programming. Just as some ideas what cases might be there, so what do you really wana do? Best regards J_Bell

(2 im 153-2ba) two io rack with 2 im153-2ba each one, with own redundant components, rail & ... redundancy link with mpi, because in wincc (redundancy of cpus just mpi, is it true?) now i don't know what happen when wincc operate this system, in ethernet i didn't work with 1613 and it's redconnect!!! a lot of programming did you mean parameters of transfering to other cpu in ob100 or ??? and careful for sequential db's and iec timers and ... or creat functions like fc101 thankyou very much for adv.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well now I have an Idea about it. Firstly I have to tell you that, as far as I know, MPI is not redundant at all. You can do a physical redundancy but this is not what is really meant byfunctional redundancy. Well there is theSoft redundancy for S7-300 but... itis not comparable withthe real redundancy of a S7-400 HSystem. What Ihave to say is that the Software S7-REDCONNECT only works with S7-400 H Systems. So if you want to use the S7-Connection you will have to program and check by yourself: is the remote Station still available? (for both S7-300 CPUs ) is the Program still running? is the Process state the same? is the Data the same? ( if it is the same process) which necessary steps have to be takenif this is not the case ... a.s.o. and that has to be done on PC side. [:blush:] I would say this is a lot to check. What I can tell you is that you do not have to use the CP 1613 for that, because you can not use S7-RECONNECT, there you can use SOFTNET S7, maybe even SOFTNET S7 LEAN. But if you do not care you can also receive both datasets and put all the data to WinCC the only thing is than which dataset do you trust. It is not as easy as it sounds sometimes. Maybe I could show you a bit about it. Best regards J_Bell

ff-farhad Posts: 26 Rating: (2)	first, thank you, OK, I can not use S7-REDCONNECT with s7300 (1613) and i have to write driver for handeling (data or status signals) now in wincc we have two input line information in other hand two dataset (exactly the same) with two different adress - the same process tags (ofcourse different names but same mean) do i have to check connection? double screens and everythings design in two way or we can define variable tags or indirect adressing tech. farhanj with best regards

Think about it, if you have two sets of data and they do not match after a certain time, what would you do? Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hi, what I can say is that the Hamming distance of Ethernet is also 4, just like PROFIBUS. What’s about the thingwiththe Radio Modems.. I have to admit that such a situation is really hard to solve without being on site, according to my experiences. I would recommend to get a specialist there to check and to measure, maybe. Doing something like this remotely is nearly impossible. Best regards J_Bell
