Is there a way to write an alternative in C-scipting for the "Left", "Mid" & "Right" VBS-functions? I need to adjust existing C-scripts and I need to extract the last 5 characters of existing strings with a fixed length? For example each strings contains 15 characters and I need to check the last 5 characters only. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks April , that looks quite interesting. I'm not a C-script expert, so can you point me in the right direction for creating a "Right"-function. Can't see it in those FAQ at first quick look |

Perhaps an example in c-script to achieve to following: if you have in a script a string "Not_needed_now" and you want to reduce this to "needed_now", how can you do this in c? In VBS, it's much easier but I can't use VBS in this project. thanks |
