I have the same problem. Drive runs just fine with telegram 1. But when I add telegram 750 it stops running.

How do I correctly send the parameters to the drive using profinet?

Split from sinamics v90 control speed and reading ampere.

Sinamics drives with telegram control require both the PLC AND the drive get configured to use the same telegram.

"Add telegram 750" does not describe exactly how that happened.

If the drive is running with telegram 1 - without downloading the hardware configuration change (from telegram 1 to telegram 750) to both the drive and the plc - and then telegram 750 starts being used on the PLC end, the drive is no longer receiving telegram 1 data, and is still sending telegram 1 data to the PLC.

3x V90 drive. One of them configured as a technology object.

The other 2 with SinaSpeed I want to read the torque (almost real time) of these two drives. With SinaParaS it takes 200 to 400ms to read a reliable torque value. That is to long for my aplication.

When configured only with telegram 1, the motors run.

But when I use telegram 750 in addition it thinks it's running but it isn't.

See attached pictures. Configuration should be good.

Cant seem to get it to work wit telegram 750, which should give me a faster readout of the torque values I think.

Hi, I can't see any images of where you are programming the torque setpoint for the drive, by default, the setpoint will be 0.0 if you are not providing said torque setpoint (obvious I guess)

That's why it appears that the drive is running, because it is, but with 0.0Nm as a setpoint, so it would be irrelevant what speed is requested.

You MUST provide a setpoint, even if you are only interested in "reading" the torque value.

If you can change V90 Telegram from 1 to 352, that is all you need to do - and change it in the PLC configuration too.

However, I do not think telegram 352 is available on V90.
If it is, this is how it lines up:

Telegram 1:    Status word    (PZD1)
               Actual speed   (PZD2)

Telegram 352:  Status word    (PZD1)
               Actual speed   (PZD2)
               Actual current (PZD3)
               Actual torque  (PZD4)
               WARN CODE      (PZD5)
               FAULT CODE     (PZD6)

This is how it works with only telegram 1 active.

It works fine, but with 2 V90 drives torque readout is very slow. 200 to 400ms for a accurate value. That takes too long and has it's problems for my application.

That's why I want to use telegram 750

 Sadly telegram 352 is not available on V90.

I saw that topic before. I already know, when selecting telegram 750. The torque values in the drive are automatically set to 0. That's why my motors stop running. You need to send the torque values to the drive with profinet directly and not using SinaParaS.

But I cant figure out how to do that. I already tried, see picture from my first post, but that doesnt work.

Are you able to add a free telegram and then assign the torque value to the first word in the free telegram?  That's a great work-around.

Are Telegram 102 and 105 both unavailable in the V90?  If so, you can configure the S7-1200 to accept a "free telegram" and manually handle the words coming from the drive.

What to do next?

I would suggest the "official" way, telegram 1 with 750 should work. But I cant figure out how to properly read/write the data.

From a sample Siemens V90 application document: 

...The standard telegram 5 and the standard telegram 105 can only support IRT mode...

S7-1200 PLC does not support IRT so Telegram 5 and 105 would not be available since IRT is not available.

My suggestion is to ask Siemens Support for suggestions on how to receive async actual torque feedback from the drive to the s7-1200 PLC faster.

They are likely going to suggest upgrading to s7-1500 PLC, or reducing PLC scan time to ~10ms.
