Fluctuating Values for temperature

rajasekhar Advanced Member Joined: 1/22/2006 Last visit: 10/8/2020 Posts: 73 Rating: (0)	I am using 6ES7 431-1KF10-0AB0 configured for Type-B Termocouples....I had a strange problem with this card...I was getting a fluctuating values for the temperatures....I had removed the card and inserted it again....for a moment I felt I am done....but after one hour I had the same problem....I checked with connectors and I had shorted every input to it (I mean 0V)...eventhough I had the same problem of fluctution... Atlast I changed the card and solved the problem....I want to know what is the problem with the card and why it is behaving like that sometimes showing good values? Also I didn't find any LED indication that the card was faulty. How to attack this problem? Where can I find the LED information of this particular card? I could not guess where are the INTF and EXTF LED's? Thanks in advance.

If you now don't have any trouble anymore, then the AI-card could be damaged by external wrong wiring or external power on the channels. If it is coming back, then please look very well to the wiring and grounding... [;)]

In DI/DO card each I/O has a LED and it shows that the particular input is present or not just by looking at that LED...But what for the LED's in AI/AO?

Hi Rajesekhar, The card don't have LEDs per channel, only one for the SF-LED. See the handbook for more information: Programmable Logic Controllers S7-300 Module Data
