I hope get some help, as usual, from you.

I'm having a bit odd issue.

To take you to context.

CPU: S7-1214C AC DC Relay (old firmware, 1.0)

I/O Modules: one 16 AC Inputs + 16 Relay Outputs, one 4 Channel Analog Inputs, One 2 Channel Analog Outputs, and a recently added combination, 4 Channel Inputs and two Channel Output Analog module*.

Panel: KTP600 Basic Mono PN

Tool: TIA Portal 10.5

Process we´re handling with: Gas Fired Boiler with just one PID Loop.

What is happening is:

We’ve got a module failure (the 4 channel analog input), which start blinking red after we tried to transfer a program update, (my laptop hung out at this exact moment), so what we did was to unwire all signals connected to the module, and it becomes solid green back again. By the way, when it was “failing”, I was unable to bring the processor back to run mode, it was stuck at stop mode.

So with the module showing no failure, and back to run mode we added a combination module to replace* the 4 input analog channels we got lost.

Now the odd issue showed up, when I tried to modify an screen at the HMI, it’s show all the text boxes and buttons or objects with text with “TEXT” instead of the appropriate name or text it should be showing up.

As you can see I get all the texts lost, but the remaining object properties still as I programmed, associate tag, size, etc.

I was told that it happened at WinCC Flexible 2008 and it was corrected at WinCC 2010, but during this time it was no solution for it and you have no choice but re-write all texts.

As a solution I took several old projects, and also backup copies stored online and all of them now are showing the same, and also I took one from internet and I opened straight with TIA Portal 11, passing through the conversion process and nothing, the same issue.

Now I’m so afraid of use TIA Portal 10.5, because I think I’m going to mess up all my projects with this.
