Hi everyone! we are struggling with something similar. We have saved documents in the Document structure und linked to planning objects through an available tab (See image)

Now we see under the object details (e.g. Pump 001) that there are links to the documents

how can we create a query to show for one specific object, all linked documentation? and then even for the whole plant, show for the plant objects which documents are linked? (The manual of a pump is just once saved but it should appear in several rows  in the query, as many as same pumps in the plant there are)

See attachhed picture. We have for example two PDF documents  "Kühlwasser Pumpen.pdf" and "Kaeser Datenblätter". This documents were linked to the pumps (through the tab that I mentioned in my previous post). Now we can see the document links under pumps 11AP001 and 12AP001.

We need to create a query which shows one row for each document link. In one column the object and in the second column the linked document. in this case for example we would have:

Col 1            Col2

Object          Document

11AP001     Kühlwasser Pumpen.pdf

11AP001     Kaeser Datenblätter.pdf

12AP001     Kühlwasser Pumpen.pdf

Therefore one PDF document can appear several times in the query.

The objective is to run the query for the whole plant and obtain the list of all documents which are relevant to each object. This lists are usually part of the project final documentation

There are two possible ways.

1) Standard query

• You can have query for eng. objects (e.g. pumps)
• Read all objects
• Delete query content
• Process BackPointerDocObjs collections.
• Filter unnecessary docobj objects
• Add new rows to query according to docobj objects

2) Evaluation document (better way in my opinion)

• Prepare standard document for displaying query (tool Place list)
• Use collection
• In script tab you can process objects from query and you can call subreport (new row) for each docobj object

• With this procedure you can prepare layout for more columns on one page (if it is useful)

1. create a recursive query for documents as a specification of your rerefenced document (e.g. "Linklist" )

2. add the OnChange-scriptblock to the specification
