problem in connecting to simadyn-d system

ameic Advanced Member Joined: 7/21/2010 Last visit: 2/4/2024 Posts: 54 Rating: (1)	hi, we have a simadyn - d system for governing an e_motor, and now we have a problem in this system and we are trying to connecting to the simadyn via simatic manager, but we are woundering how we can connect to the simadyn? i mean what program we must use, what kind of interface and which port in the simadyn cpu and also in pc?

KSN Platinum Expert Joined: 8/25/2006 Last visit: 11/13/2024 Posts: 2211 Rating: (280)	Hello. Simadyn D may be programmed using Struc software or using Step7+CFC+D7-SYS. If your Simadyn D was previously programmed with Step7+CFC+D7-SYS, then you need all this software to connect to it. An interface that always work in Simadyn D is X01 on the CPU module (PM5 or PM6). You can connect to it using DUST1 protocol (select it in the Setting PG-PC interface after installing D7-SYS) and COM-port of your PC, use cable SC57. Another interface may be available after loading program (MPI).

But i dont know how i can read it back from CPU and save it to my pc, i have CFC, SIMATIC MANAGER and D7-SYS software and also RS_232 cross cable.(2,3 ----> to 3,2). thanks. with best regards.
