Hello everybody! I want to implement the following features in my project: 1. Operator is able to program a scheduled maintenance work for a motor. 2. System alerts the operator one day before the scheduled date is due, through the alarm control, and the operator is able to acknowledge this alarm/alert. Feature number 1 is kind of already implemented. The missing feature is number 2. I have an idea of how to implement it but it deals with database communication and other stuff. What I want to ask you is: Is there any option that directly implements scheduled alarms in TIA Portal? Let's say program an alarm to be triggered at certain date and time. Also, I am only using a PC-based system. I am not using any controller inside my projet. I read about "Program alarm" blocks, but I didn't see a way to implement scheduled alarms with it. Also, by the limitations of my project I can not add a controller device to it, so I can't use that block. Furthermore, I came accross with "WinCC/Calendar Scheduler and WinCC/Event Notifier" (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/60532594) and for what I have seen it might allow me to implement the scheduled alarms that I am looking for. I don't really know, I am not sure either if I can install it and get it work along with my winCC Unified installation. Any suggestion is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. The installed software in which I am currentlly working on, is: - TIA Portal V16 Update 4. - STEP 7 Professional. V16 Update 4. - WinCC Advanced / Unified PC V16 Update 4. |
