Hi, Formatting the C: drive and installing TIA Portal V17 fresh may be the most efficient way to solve this. However, please check the following before: 1. Please ensure that all requirements are met -especially those regarding memory: System requirements for installation 2. Please close all other applications and launch the installation by right-clicking on the "start.exe" and choosing "run as admin". 3. If installing from a DVD, it could be an issue with the DVD drive. Please try copying the files to the local machine, etc. and running the install from there. 4. If installing from a shared shared, external drive, etc, perhaps those files are not complete. I realize that you can install on other PC's. However, if the files were copied to several different media, perhaps one of those are not complete. 5. In relation to 3 and 4 above, download DVD1 and DVD2 from the following link, verify the checksum matches, and run DVD1 to install the V17 Engineering Software. DVD2 contains optional software: SIMATIC STEP 7 incl. Safety, S7-PLCSIM and WinCC V17 TRIAL Download 6. Perhaps the Microsoft Installer is damaged. You might search for a MSI fix-it tool and run it. Following is one such link as an example: |
