1.The SFC communication reads/writes whole datarecords from/to the Siwarex U module (e.g. reading the datarecord DR31 with the gross weight, status, refresh counter, ...).
With the SFC communication, you have access to all parameters of the Siwarex U module via Step7.

2.The I/O communication reads/writes always only one parameter from/to the Siwarex U module (e.g. reading the adjustment weigt).
With the I/O communication, you have access to all parameters of the Siwarex U module via Step7. Please see also the FAQ into the internet by logging on to: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/17167112

3. If you have a new Siwarex U module (oder number 7MH4950-...) you can also use the FB45 for the communication between Step7 and the Siwarex U module.

Regarding the accuracy and the update time of the actual weight, there is no difference between the SFC communication,I/O communication or FB45 communication.
The actual weight is calculated into the Siwarex U module, and is independent of the used communication mode.

Hello,

I have a Siwarex U module (7MH4950-1AA01) and it happened when I send, via faceplate, the commands to configurate zero/weighted calibration, the faceplate get freeze, send/recibe bottoms comes grey and never comes back to normal state, the only solution is power off the ET200M (6ES7 153-2BA02-0XB0), in other hand I used de APL interface (Block SiwaU08), when send the calibration I saw two outputs interesting, the GrpErr (Group error) its always high, but when get visible almost all the outputs that the module help considerate part of the "group", they dont show any specific error, other output that comes high and remains in that state is CmdInpr (Command in progress) in the same time when I push botton send throught the faceplate.

Locally I used siwatool and get a full calibration of module without any troubles. I don't find any refrence to similar case in the forum, Please, you could send me any suggestion.
