billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (119)	I can't specifically answer your question. I attached the Unilink Adapter Manual. Unfortunately I don't have the PIM module manual. The Ports 3 & 4 are serial ports: Port 3. Port 3 is a general purpose serial port which implements a subset of RS-232-C control, data, and timing signals using RS-423 drivers and receivers. It utilizes a 25-pin D-connector. Port 3 signals and their respective connector pin numbers are given in Table 4-2. it is DTE Port 4. Port 4 is an application-specific serial communications port which provides two media options in the same 9-pin connector. IN MY APPLICATION THERE ARE TWO TIWAY DEVICES: NIM CARD 505-7339 AND UNILINK MODULE 500-7111, BOTH DEVICES TO SEND THE DATA TO A HOST COMPUTER ON TIWAY NET. MY QUESTION IS THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO ADD AN OTHER COMPUTER IF I USED THE SPARE PORTS IN THESE DEVICES, ISN'T IT??? OR I NEED OTHERS OR COMPLEMENTARY DEVICES. COULD YOU GIVE ME SOME CLUE OR ADVICE? PLS. REGARDS.

The 500-7111 Unilink Adapter is installed between the PC and the Tiway Network. In my opinion, if you want to add another PC, you will have to add another Unilink Adapter. The 505-7339 in the PLC can reply to multiple rquests from different PC's, so you don't need to add a card in the PLC. But this stuff is all very old, you should consider replacing the Tiway network by means of an Ethernet TCP/IP network, for ex. with CTI 2572-A card in the PLC. http://www.controltechnology.com/products/2572-a/ Regards,
