In general, it works well, but when I try to use any method call via script in VB, it doesn't seem to work. Theoretically, it was supposed to be compatible with WinCC 8.0 at runtime? I only found documentation talking about WinCC Unified systems, but the WinCC 8.0 documentation says it is compatible.

I’ve read through it, but I still have one question. Following the example of the Gauge provided in the manual, I created a button in WinCC that calls the`BlinkZone`method, but nothing happens when I execute it. Now, changing button properties via VB works perfectly, but I'm having issues with the methods defined in the manifest. My question is: Should the methods created in the manifest be callable via VB in WinCC runtime? following the code I used in the button in order to interact with the custom web control : Sub OnClick(Byval Item) Dim webControl Set webControl = ScreenItems("CustomWebControlGauge") webControl.BlinkZone(2) End Sub

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 11/15/2024 Posts: 14176 Rating: (1774)	Hello Girundi I think the methods which are defined in manifest.json will work also in WinCC with VB Script. but if you use the example from Unified (Gauge Control) the Zones seems not to work in WInCC. if you insert the CWC in TIA Portal you have Zones: If you insert in WinCC V8: The zones are not editable in properties, perhaps the interface is not customized for WinCC V8?
