Hello naj; The following manual has a chapter on "Passive Components for RS-485 networks". There you will find description of Profibus-DP cables and connectors you will need for your interconnection. If you do not have special requirements for cable jacket or flexibility, then Standard Profibus cable is the normal choice. Any type of connector will have the same functionnalities. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1971286 You can also look for Profibus Cable elsewhere, such as Belden 3079A for standard Profibus-DP. The attached illustration shows how to setup cable and connectors, and the use of the termination switch on the connectors at the endpoints of your network. The basic principle to remember is: one cabl;e [endpoint] Termination ON; 2 cables [inside the bus, between 2 nodes] Terminator OFF. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello naj. I want to add a little bit info which may help you. Here's in this FAQ, you will found a pre-made FC for control MM4 via Profibus. Read the description of it in *.pdf format and also you can download it from the following link. MICROMASTER: Function block (FC14) to control an MM4 via Profibus-DP Regards, |
