I'm trying to download software from logo to pc that was made by some unknown contractor when my parent's current house was built. After setting the LOGO! 230RCL (6ED1 053-1FB00-0BA2) to programming mode I was finally able to contact the PLC but now when I'm trying to download the software from LOGO! to my laptop (WIN10) I get the message that is attached. Can anybody help solve this problem. I'm using LOGO! Soft Comfort V8. Connection between LOGO! and PC is though LOGO! Cable. Thanks in advance! ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 9/17/2025 Posts: 35967 Rating: (4503)	When you work with Windows 10 I think you have RS232 Interface, only USB. So I think you have the LOGO! USB cable. If yes, have you install the driver for this cable? The driver created a virtuell RS232 Inteface. This need you, to select in the transfer windows by LOGO! cable the correct COM interface.

This is the mode I was able to contact the LOGO!. and on the screen of the plc it said PC --> LOGO. On my laptop there is only two usb ports COM6 and COM7. No, COMs are not USB ports. The drive make for the with the cable used USB cable a virtuell COM interface. If you place the cable on the first USB port then e.g a COM6. If you place the cable on the second USB port then e.g a COM7. As I wrote by me is it COM6 (see attachment).
