My font size in TIA Portal V19 upd3 is twice the size of the actual font that appears in simulation (WinCC RT Advanced) and my actual HMI (TP700). I am using the HMI template suite v2.0.0. In the simulation, the font sizes are all wrong. 

I managed to rectify this for one of the style elements by manually changing it in common data\style from 17px to 34px, but I do not want to do this for every element!

Here are items I have already checked:

My workstation (Windows 10  22H2) running TIA Portal has a DPI of 200%, which is twice of my 800x400 TP700 (Windows CE 7). I changed it to 100% (96 pt) and restarted TIA portal, and recompiled all hardware. This did not fix the issue, and also everything is hard to see on my 2560x1600 laptop screen.

The project style is imported at 7".

Following a few other forum posts, I also enabled high DPI override for HmiRTm.exe in compatibility properties, but this just increased the window size of my WinCC RTA.

My font and language runtime settings are as follows, configured as according to the guide for HMI template suite. A weird thing I noticed is that sometimes when I am in 200% DPI, when I enter Tahoma, 16px as the default font, TIA automatically changes it to another weird value.

Example: Sometimes, "Tahoma, 16px" becomes "Tahoma, 8px", and "Tahoma, 16 px" becomes "Tahoma, 21 px"

This is truly mind boggling.

Following each change, I restarted TIA Portal. I also restarted my PC multiple times. I have tried compiling and uploading with the setting "Adapt font size to device size" on and off. Neither fixes the problem.

EDIT: I found a fix for now, but I would still like to know of an alternative which doesn't involve changing resolution 100% (96 dpi) because it makes my workstation almost impossible to use because the text and buttons are too small so I need to switch back to 200% when I program PLC.

TEMP FIX (in order):

- Ensure resolution matches HMI. Restart workstation.

- delete ProjectFolder/IM

- Recompile all hardware (Ensure Adapt Font Size to Device Size is On)

- Go to Library > Project Library > HMI Template Suite > Update Types > Project

- HMI Runtime Settings > Switch to another style and swtich back (If you don't do this, all the default styles will be the wrong size)

- You can download to HMI, simulation will also be correct.

I think using the text in bold may result in this behavior. Please change it to the regular thickness and check if this solves the behavior.
